Solar Thermal

Solar Thermal systems generate hot water using the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

Over a year a well-designed system could produce up to 70% of a household’s yearly hot water needs. During the summer, energy generation is at its maximum and can provide the majority of daily hot water needs.

Earn and Save

As well as saving money on your energy bills, Solar Thermal used for generating hot water is eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.

If you apply for the RHI you will receive payments for 7 years at the current rate of 19.51 pence per kilowatt hour.

Once the installation is complete, Solar Renewable will help fill out the paperwork so you can start earning your RHI.

Solar Renewable can provide you with a quote detailing the estimated savings and return on your investment.

How does Solar Thermal work?

Solar Thermal systems generate hot water using the suns ultraviolet rays. Solar panels on the roof (called collectors) are fitted to your roof, these collect heat and use it to heat water which is stored in a water cylinder.
