If your radiators don’t feel as warm as they should, and feel especially cold at the bottom it is likely to be due to sludge caught in the system which prevents warm water circulating round.

Powerflushing cleans out the sludge and allows the warm water to circulate freely again, meaning your radiators heat as they should. If you think that your radiators may need powerflushing we can arrange for an engineer to inspect them and determine whether this is the case.

Many older properties haven’t had their electrics upgraded and have outdated circuit protection, insufficient earthing and no Residual Current Devices (RCDs). RCDs are important as they switch off electricity automatically if there is a fault. An RCD can reduce the risk of death or injury, they are designed to prevent a fatal electric shock from touching something live like a bare wire.

Earthing upgrades and installing RCD protected fuse boards are usually straightforward jobs that will take less than a day and potentially save a life.
